dbinstall malloc error

dbinstall malloc error

dbinstall malloc error

When I try to create a new database in my for-many-years-running MIMER 8.1.3D on AIX 4.3.2, it is created, but cannot be started.
Older databases can be stopped and started again without problem, but the new one generates the following error message:

2003-02-05 16:46:58.32   <Error>
Error when creating memory pool in database server
malloc: [ENOMEM] Not enough space

2003-02-05 16:46:58.33   <Error>
Database server not operational

The machine has 768 MB RAM, almost unused, small load, so it can't be lack of physical RAM.

Anyone having clues?

Best Regards,
Johan Kuuse

What are your SQLPOOL parameters (SQLPOOL, MAXSQLPOOL) set to in your multidefs file (check both a server that works and the new one!)?
