how do i clear a listbox !!!!
     VBA has no equivelant to listbox.clear does it ???!

What application are you referring to? VBA for Office has the Clear method.

MS access 97 and 2000  
    (some clients are on 97 some on 2000)

it gives me an error message when i do

"object does not support this action"

Check out the Help for the ListBox object. It looks as though the Clear method will not work if it is bound to a data source.
