The Dell Axim X5 Handheld

The Dell Axim X5 Handheld

I was wondering if anyone has had a chance to take one of these puppies for a test drive.  We receive the Dell Small-Medium business catalog on a regular basis, and they've been pushing these kinda heavy.  I'm tossing the idea back and forth of ordering one in a few months out of my own pocket, the specs seem comparable (but not equal to) the compaq iPaq, but is offered at a very attractive price ($199 after $50 rebate)
So, opinions? criticisms? comments? reviews?

thanks, angie

RE: The Dell Axim X5 Handheld

I've had a chance to play with one for a little while.  Nice screen, fast, nice looking, and surprisingly small.  I don't like active sync and found myself rebooting to regain a connection to the device several times (something I've never had to do in my experience working with several Palm devices).

For the price they're pretty amazing.  I'm going to wait a little while to see if the price of Palm OS 5 devices comes down a little.

I hope this helps.
