QT audio/video jumps

Hi,

PLEASE HELP!

I'm having major problems playing Quicktime movie and audio files. I have tested Quicktime out with numerous files (both QT files (.mov) and WIN files (.mp3 etc.) and the Quicktime Player doesn't play the files correctly - instead plays a version that jumps consistently.

No error message is displayed, its just a poor audio output. I've made an audio file of what the output sounds like.

It can be downloaded from:

http://www.btinternet.com/~bigbrotherukwebsite/audiosample.mp3

I've previously been able to play files with QuickTime okay - but for the past 2 months or so, all files have jumped.

I've attempted uninstalling QT, reinstalling it a couple of times - no change.

Any help or advice would be much appreciated...

Joe

RE: QT audio/video jumps

What have you installed onto you computer between installing qt and now? hardware or software? Could be a driver conflict

Hmm... now that's a tough question to answer!! Quite a lot! I download, install, run, use various software for website creation, audio editing etc.

Too many to list really...

Is there any easy way of resolving this?! :s

the easy way? reformat your hard drive, and install each program separtely, and test it out, before installing a new software. Then go back to testing the previous sfotware, then the new one...and so on.
