Printing across frames in IE4

Printing across frames in IE4

Printing across frames in IE4

(OP)
I hope somebody knows an answer to this.

This example makes use of Javascript, however, VBScript solutions are more than welcome!!!

I have two frames. The top frame contains content and the lower frame contains a "print" button. The "print" buttons function is to print the contents of the top frame. The problem is that IE4 does not support the javascript "window.print()" function.

FRAMESET
<HTML>
<HEAD>
<TITLE>Report Results</TITLE>
</HEAD>
<FRAMESET rows="*,50" border=0>
<FRAME name="report_display" id="report_display" src="../reports/default_report.html" scrolling="auto">
<FRAME name="report_control" id="report_control" src="../reports/report_control_frame.html" scrolling="no">
</FRAMESET>
</HTML>

PRINT BUTTON
<input type="button" value="Print" class="definedButton" onClick="window.top.report_display.focus(); window.top.report_display.print()">

IE4 and below does support the "focus()" function but not the "print()" function. Does anybody know of another way to print across frames? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
