Monster Splitter for outside? Monster Splitter for outside? wjl11 (IS/IT--Management) (OP) 25 Oct 02 15:53 Hello,Is it worth the $10 (standard) or $20 (premium) to purchase a CATV splitter from Monster to replace the one outside my house? Thanks,Will RE: Monster Splitter for outside? daronwilson (Vendor) 25 Oct 02 23:55 What does the Monster splitter have that your regular splitter doesn't? You don't gain anything buy having 24k gold on the case, the important part is the frequency range of the splitter. Most digital cable services are well below 1000 MHz, so the standard 1Ghz splitter is fine. I see that Monster offers a 2 Ghz model as well, if you subscribe to a service that delivers something above 1000 Mhz then yes, get the higher bandwidth splitter.IMHO, most of the monster stuff is monster money, for little real benefit. It is only my opinion, based on my experience and education...I am always willing to learn, educate me!Daron J.
