pop-up and <select> problem

pop-up and <select> problem

pop-up and <select> problem

I'm creating pop-ups using FW and they work good except when one of them covers a <select> box.
Then a hole is formed in the pop-up and the select box shows through.

No other objects seem to create the hole.

Is there a way to correct this problem?

RE: pop-up and <select> problem

can i see a link or the code?

whos that behind you?

RE: pop-up and <select> problem

Here is the select statement but thats probably not what you want.
Do you want the .js or the .htm?  I can't give you a link because this is on a secure site. (wish I could)
<td><select name="lstMonth">
    <option value="01" selected>January
    <option value="02">February
    <option value="03">March
    <option value="04">April
    <option value="05">May
    <option value="06">June
    <option value="07">July
    <option value="08">August
    <option value="09">September
    <option value="10">October
    <option value="11">November
    <option value="12">December

RE: pop-up and <select> problem

your best bet...since this code isnt enough...is to move the selec box

whos that behind you?

RE: pop-up and <select> problem

This is a known problem with Layers and Forms...

The pop-ups Firworks creates are layers created using CSS.  And, whenever you have form elements and layers overlapping on your web page, the form element in always on top (not sure if the very recent browsers (NN7.0, IE6.0) may have "fixed" this).

Sorry, no fix to your problem, except deecee's suggestion of moving the form box.

RE: pop-up and <select> problem

Thanks for helping out.

I also went to FW's own site and got the same answer so I guess I'll be changing the design of the web page.:(
