Inserting column

(OP)
I'm using VBA in Excel 2000.  I have a series of columns with a total column.  I want a macro that will insert a new column and have the ranges for the summing column updated.  I have written a macro that will find the total column and insert a new detail column, but the sum ranges in the total column are not changed.  I could change the formulas myself, but I don't know how to access the formula for a specific cell.

Any help/suggestions on either approach would be greatly appreciated. -- Ham Rutledge

RE: Inserting column

You can access the Active Cells formula using

Excel.ActiveCell.Formula

just in the same way as you can read a value in VBA using

Excel.ActiveCell.Value

Hope this Helps
