Ping a Server

Ping a Server

Ping a Server

I want to allow users to ping servers from a web page.

I'm sure I can build a COM component to emulate normal command-line ping functionality. I was wondering if anyone is doing it using VBScript. Or if someone out there has already built a component I can plug in and access within my script.

RE: Ping a Server

Well, I've found the solution.

The MSDN library has a pngctrl.ocx which I wrapped in an ActiveX dll. It's a little bulky, But I can now access the functionality of a command-line ping call using server side vbscript within my web page.

Pretty cool tool!
