MY
dear all gurus

i've an application on a non-vb pc which fails to run when i try to load data report. Instead, it gives me this error message:
"Runtime ERror 372
Failed to load control 'Data Report' from C:\Windows\System\MSDBRPTR.dll. Your version of C:\Windows\System\MSDBRPTR.dll may be outdated. Make sure you are using the version of the control that was provided with your application."
i've tried the solutions found at support.microsoft website on Error 713 (Q248055), however, same result. This will not happen if the pc has VB installed.
I've already included MSDBRPTR.dll in my setup file from my own WIndows\System, as well as other files mentioned at the website, still the same...By the way, i've also tried restarting the PC after setup too.

will greatly appreciate anyone who can help me or direct me to a source for every possible solutions. THANKS A LOT!

Did you check the version # of the MSDBRPTR.dll file after your installation and make sure that it matches the one on your source PC? The PDW may not be updating it corectly even though the correct version is in your package.

You may need to unregister the one currently on the target PC ( Regsvr32.exe /u MSDBRPTR.dll ), then manually copy the newer version to the target PC and then re-register it ( Regsvr32.exe MSDBRPTR.dll )
