Lots of questions....

Lots of questions....

Lots of questions....

I own a MICS 4.1 using 6 fibre combo port and looking to get my 4.1 XC so I can add another 6 fibre combo ports.  I have a T1 card in but no DID service yet.

I'm looking to get DIDs soon and just want to make sure that DID can be carry over T1 ?

I also have more than 48 users so using the 4port star flash won't work.  I'm assuming I need to go NAM ?  how hard is it to hook up a NAM voice mail ?

Is it hard to do any of these ?  I'm not a super phone guy but I learn the system and looking for advice..

In CT area..

RE: Lots of questions....

YES, you can run DID's over a T1. The NAM will is not that hard to setup. It has a fiber feed just like the other modules. A installation guide will be sent out with the product. Make sure the versions are correct for the MICS and NAM.

RE: Lots of questions....

How to Install a T1:

You must have either a Services Cartridge (slot 1) or a 6-port Combo card (slot 2) in order to provide clocking for the T-1. Only one of these is needed, even if you have two DTI cards.
The DTI card should go into Slot 4 first. If you have a second card it would go into Slot 3.
You must disable the card first, program the card for T1, then re-enable the card.

RE: Lots of questions....

Actually the T1 card is already installed, we had T1 service before but not DID, out going DOD.  Thanks for the info, I actually have 2 6port combo card, in 1 & 2 I think.  I'll have to check

RE: Lots of questions....

If they are two way DIDs as in the users can get DID calls and make calls out over the T-1 then that's where you would set up the Channels as E&M. That way you can get traffic both ways over the T
