Book related to Orbix -- need inputs.

Hi All,

I am new to Corba and am working on ORBIX from IONA. I am facing various problems in my very first program.

Appriciate, if you can give me some reference of either online materials, tutorials or any book on ORBIX.

thanks in advance,

RE: Book related to Orbix -- need inputs.

Hi Mahesh.,

 The best guide would be
the Orbix Manuals., else if you are looking for something in book format i would suggest..,

Corba Distributed Objects using Orbix by Sean Baker from Addison Wesley publications.,

For online., visit www.omg.org and there is a link to Corba Faq and Resources., That might be helpful
 For orbix specific queries.,
Visit www.iona.com and look out in their knowledge base that helped me a lot.,

Muthuvelan Swaminathan.

RE: Book related to Orbix -- need inputs.

"Advanced CORBA Programming with C++ by Michi Henning and Steve Vinoski."
is the best book I have read in CORBA. I have used this effectively for both omni ORB and Orbix 3.0.c. The manuals don't delve very deep into CORBA concepts or atleast so it was with Orbix 3.0.c which I used over a year ago!
