Currently calls are service observed in the call centre I support periodically. I am trying to output the conversation from a 8410D phone via the headset adaptor 500AM to the soundcard of a PC and record it by using call COOL EDIT. There is an AUX port to hook up a soundcard but I not sure what the specs of cable are. HAs anybody else tried doing this?

Thanks

I've only done this with a callmaster 4. I built a Recording Interface Module which takes the audio feed from one pair of the line cord. If this can help I can tell you how to do it. The only way that I know of to use the AUX jack in an 8410 is to really modify the phone. I've found this company that sells the boards.

I will look into using the head phone with a sound card.

Thanks

Well I hooked up the headset port of a 6424D+ to the soundcard and got the output working. One problem is the background noise. There is interference and I'm not sure if its the soundcard generating it or the phone. I used the Cool Edit plugin to remove the noise but it makes the voices a tinny. I think if I could isolate where the interference is coming from then it would work well.

to correc the lat post - the voices or conversations sound tinny due to the filter
