Is there some way to give the receptionist at the attendant console her own extension and voicemail? I have tried creating extensions (forwarded to console) with voicemail but because it is the console it never rolls over to the coverage. I thought about setting up a bridged appearance to her extension but it doesn't look like you can do this on a console either.

The only scenario that I was ever able to setup was to create an X-ported extension with voicemail and the receptionist would just have to keep checking the voicemail throughout the day. The only other thing that can be done is to setup another phone on their desk, but usually that is not allowed since it would be such a distraction.

AdmanOK, I have set up what you are trying to accomplish.

- Create a new unique Ext. and make it an X-Port.
- Create a Coverage Path as follows:
Point 1: Attd Point 2: (Audix Hunt Group)
- Point your new Ext. to this Coverage Path
- Place an Aut-Msg-Wt button on an available Console button
to indicated a new Audix msg. for this Ext.
- Create Audix mailbox for new Ext.

Use:
When a call is placed to the users new personal Ext. it will ring the Console. The users name will display so that it can be identified and/or answered differently/personally.
If the call is not answered it will then follow coverage to the new Ext.'s mailbox and activate the Aut-Msg-Wt light.

Hope this helps!
