I need a lookup list like Windows START button with sub lookup lists

(OP)
I want to look up a table of categories and then choose from a list of subcategories much like in the Windows start button where you can choose programs from the PROGRAMS list.

I need to choose from client issue categories such as PERSONAL, WORK and HOME and pick several sub-cats from these.

How do I go about this, is it easily done?

Hope so!

Cheers...

It may not be exactly what you are describing, but Access comes with a database filled with examples of things like list choices that fill in other lists.  Look in the Program Files \ Microsoft Office \ Office \ Samples folder for a Solutions.mdb.  If it is not there, run your Install routine again, choosing Custom.

Hope that points you in the right direction.
