Does anyone know why a netopia r6100 router would be incompatible with verizon internet service?

RE: Need Network genius!

what do you mean by incompatible? please specify.

a general issue I have heard of is the ISP's requirement to verify your IP address, and the router's NAT functions causing the ISP not to recognize the hardware. I have seen many posts wher people have had to demand a change in the IP service or change ISP or get new hardware due to this issue.  Check some of the product reviews for routers on Amazon.com and you'll see what I mean.
