a general issue I have heard of is the ISP's requirement to verify your IP address, and the router's NAT functions causing the ISP not to recognize the hardware. I have seen many posts wher people have had to demand a change in the IP service or change ISP or get new hardware due to this issue. Check some of the product reviews for routers on Amazon.com and you'll see what I mean.
