What is the retention on manual backups?

What is the retention on manual backups?

What is the retention on manual backups?

(OP)
Great Networker Guru's,
What is the retention on manual backups and how can it be changed? Are backups done manually just retained forever or is there an expiration date?I've looked through the books and haven't found anything.Any help you can give me would be appreciated.
Sincerely,
goodatunix.

RE: What is the retention on manual backups?

By manual I assume you mean a backup that you run manually rather than as part of a schedule?
If this is the case then it just depends on what the retention is set to on the client. You can check this in the client setup. It could also be affected if you have any scripts which manually recycle tapes.
