<DIV STYLE=" HTML Tag, works on Internet Explorer but not on Netscape?

I have been developing a web site using VisualPage. Resently, I started to use the "Layer" mode of the VisualPage tool. This mode works great for laying out text and pictures as containers. The problem that I am having is under MS's Internet Explorer browser the <DIV Style> HTML tag (Layering mode) works just fine. Under the Netscape's browser the browser seems to ignore the <DIV Style> tag. All of the text and the pictures display on top of each other. Below is an example of the HTML generated by VisualPage:

<DIV STYLE="Position : Absolute ; Left : 30px ; Top : 70px ; Width : 227px ; Height : 323px">
<P><B><SPAN STYLE="Font-Size : 14pt"><FONT COLOR="black" FACE="Roman">Masonry Special Inspection for masonry is
required during preparation and taking of any required prisms or test specimens, placing of all masonry units,
placement of reinforcement, inspection of grout space immediately prior to closing of clean outs, and during all
grouting operations</FONT></SPAN></B>

Can anyone please explain why this does not work under Netscape ???

RE: <DIV STYLE=" HTML Tag, works on Internet Explorer but not on Netscape?

NS 4 does not support this do to a lack of standards set for Web Browsers. NS 4.7x and 6 support layers;however, still not as wonderfull as IE. NS 6 does'nt even support CSS fully. For best cross browser compatability, layout your page using Layers then convert these Layers to Tables.(I am not sure if Visual Page does this for you. But i know Dreamweaver 3 and 4 do.) My recomendation to all Web Surfers and Developers out there is simply this: Sure, we may all have something against Microsoft, but when it comes to Web Browers, IE has the best support of features out there for developers and web surfers alike. Be smart, use IE:)
