mySql.socks gets deleted!

mySql.socks gets deleted!

mySql.socks gets deleted!

I have installed mySql according to the instructions. Everything works fine during install and so on. But when I start the server it deletes the mySql.sock in /tmp/ dir. Because of this I get "Can't connect to localhost through mySql.sock (117) Check if it exists".

It seems kind of wierd to me for the program to first delete it and then complain cause its not there.

Why does it behave like this?

RE: mySql.socks gets deleted!

chmod -t /tmp
this places a sticky mode
