MIMS 4.1: We have a need to record more than 10 production statistics for particular equipment. MIMS appears to be limited to 10 fields available on MSF440.
One idea is to create dummy equipment where to record the extra statistics, and group under productive unit or other classification, but this introduces a lot of artificiality.
Any other ideas for a work-around?

You also have the option of using up to 3 Production Description codes. These are recordable in Log-sheets as well but I don't believe they can be input to the statistical models. You could break up an equipment piece into several macro components. Give each component an equipment number and group under productive unit. For each component number develop a specialised statistical profile.

You also really need to address the statistics you are using and think creatively about how these stats can be inferred through calculations in the model.

Another alternative is to record some stats as Operating stats - there is no limit to the number of stats you can use but you lose a lot of the power of prod stats modelling etc.

I think the 10 stat maximum in Prod Stats is a limitation to the product. I have hit this limitation several times.
