extra recipients for sendmail

extra recipients for sendmail

extra recipients for sendmail

Hi all.

I am using sendmail with a script that needs to send one mail to a person but also cc two others and bcc one other.  Is it possible to add extra recipients to a message?  And how?

RE: extra recipients for sendmail

I have not had time to figure out how, but, the man pages for sendmail refer to 'addresses' in the plural, not singular.  I don't have time right now to play, but a little command line experimentation could probably identify an appropriate delimiter so that you just give sendmail a list of recipients rather than just one.  If I don't beat you to it, I'll try to remember to do a little playing with this when I get a chance.

Thanks goBoating,  I will play around with some delimiters but I am accessing a hosted account so do not have access to man pages :(

RE: extra recipients for sendmail

It's comma delimited.

Why not write a Perl program to read your man pages!
