COS Passwords - Quick Question

COS Passwords - Quick Question

COS Passwords - Quick Question

Does someone know what COS Passwords are and how to use them? My 6/16 can have 20 of them, but I don't know what there for.

RE: COS Passwords - Quick Question

COS passwords allow you to bypass restrictions on a call by call basis. If a telephone was restricted for long distance calls, a user with a COS password could enter Feature 68, enter their 6 digit password, press a line, and make a LD call. Once they hang up the set goes back to its normal restrictions.

You can assign different restriction filters to the COS passwords to allow unique calling abilities for each user.
