Passport 8600 Multicast configurations!

Passport 8600 Multicast configurations!

Passport 8600 Multicast configurations!

I am having a problem with Multicasting.

I currently have a 8600 Passport with 2 Vlans configured.

The first VLAN is the default VLAN and 99% of the company reside on this one.

I have also created another VLan and about 10 people sit on this.

My problem is we are about to roll out Enfocast TV on our network.  THis uses a multicast to stream the pictures across the network.   This works on the default VLAN but not on the New Vlan i have created.   Is there a setting i need to configure to allow mulitcasting to relay accross the VLANS

The Unit that pushes out the Data Streams via mulitcast sits on the Default VLAN.

I hope that i have explained the issue ok

Thanks in advance

RE: Passport 8600 Multicast configurations!

I would recommend using 3.2 code or above as there are several enhancements to multicast in this release and just enable dvmrp for each vlan.
