How do I read a float array value from a binary file using VB?

We have a cost file with a 2 dimensional array of float/single values for each week. How could we convert this 4 byte values to an integer? We've tried reading in other fields for the structure as bytes, but get binary values once we get to the single value fields. This is a conversion from an older program so all we have is the file structure, and not the code. We haven't been able to find anything in any books so far, or on line. Any help would be really appreciated as our boss is getting a little testy about the delay.<br>
