BCM 400 VM down Can access Element Manager.

Can also get the VM feature 981,986.982 etc. but get blank screen and phone is locked until unplug.

RE: BCM 400 VM down Can access Element Manager.

You have a BCM400 Release 4.0

Please always try to provide details as if we are blind to your site/issue and what you have tried to do so far.

If you can connect with BEM and vmails features work then why does your subject say VM is down?
Makes no sense.

but get blank screen
What gets a blank screen?

phone is locked
So it just one phone then...
Locked as in how? locked up?
Does the phone have flashing arrows or solid arrows?

until unplug
Rebooted, then it works?

Is unplugging the one phone all that has been done?

Ok, when you call in you get RNA. Can not open MB's you can press F 981 and the screen is blank and the phone is locked up to get the phone back working and not locked up you need to reset it / unplug it.
System has been rebooted.
Can access BEM all looks normal.
VM is not working.
Want to reinstall but when entering F 982 get blank screen.
Was going to have the site try in services shut down and reset the VM services.

RE: BCM 400 VM down Can access Element Manager.

Ok thanks, the voice mail 9XX codes lock up the phone.

Sounds like HDD is failing.
Get a backup pronto.

You can go into Admin/General/Services and restart "voicemail" but since a reboot did not work I dont think this will.

If you replace the HDD then make sure it's a 4.0 and that you load the latest patches before doing any restore.

Sometimes the PS is the culprit as it might be failing.
Bad BFT, green capacitors are bad and bulged early, blue are good and lasted longer.

Fix was start and stop the service and reinstall the Voice mail and reprogram.!
