Need PcPro for sl-1200 AUSTRALIA and advice on how to make SPA-525G to work with a NEC SL-2100

Hi all,

this is my first post on here:

1) how can I configure a CISCO VoIP phone (SPA-525G) to work as an internal extension with a NEC SL-2100?

2) I need the AUSTRALIAN version of Pc Pro (the fw/ of my SL-2100 is V. 4.00.00; or advice about how to get a US version to work with the Australian version of the SL-21200?

Thanks,

regards,

Stefano.

You will need a third-party SIP Extension Act LIC Key installed
Available?

You may also need, if i am not mistaken
VoIP board – Mandatory
Expansion Memory card - Mandatory

Thank you for your quick feedback omonat, I didn't know about the need for a third-party SIP Extension Act LIC Key installed;

however, ideally I would like to do without it;

a PABX system which is not expandable without paying additional fees, is not really my favourite kind of system, also given the fact that the initial purchase price wasn't exactly cheap.

So, is there any other solution, trick, workaround or method, to connect a standard VoIP phone to the NEC SL-2100?

Thanks,

regards,

Stefano.

You could also simply get an NEC IP phone.

@ StefanoPerth, first log into the system and check what LIC you have

@omonat; great idea, I am a newbie when it comes to NEc PABX's, what option # is that under?
@CoralTech; yes, of course, that would be much simpler, but ... ;
- I am a tinkerer who loves a challenge;
- I have two big boxes of "normal" voIp phones, Cisco and other brands, and I'd like to use 'em .. winky smile
But yes, I did think about simply using a NEC phone, but they are way more expensive than what I am willing to spend, at least for now ...
