Micollab 9.1 - Error Removing a user

(OP)
Hello and thank you for any assistance.

Management of the Mitel system was handed to our dept without any training. We have gotten by but run in to issues occasionally. I only mention it so you know I'm still an amateur with this system.

We have Micrsoft AD integration and when a user leaves the company, we remove the info from their AD account and synch with the Mitel servers. Occasionally we get an error, like they are still hotdesked into a phone, that we can resolve to remove the user. We currently have 5 Mitel users that give the same error after the AD sync:

Failed to delete phone MiVoice Business Phone Service with number XXXX on Location: Line keys must be cleared before the device can be deleted.

I connected to the MiVoice Business server, lookeed up the user under Users and Service form and tried to clear all keys from their device. which gives me the error:

At least one key failed configuration:
Key 2:
References exist in the Call Rerouting First Alternative form.

Now I'm stuck. I'm guessing that were I tried to clear the keys is not the correct place to fix the original issue. Does anyone know how to fix the Line Keys must be cleared error? I attached an example of the error.

Thank you

RE: Micollab 9.1 - Error Removing a user

So what the system is trying to tell you is that the Call ReRouting - 1st Alternative form has a reference to the DN assigned to Key 2 of the phone you're trying to delete. You need to fix that first by removing the reference in the Call ReRouting 1st Alternative form, then delete the key, then you can delete the set.

Thank you! That seemed to have fixed it on my "test" user. Assumed that you change everything to Normal top remove it from the ReRoute 1st Alternative form and that worked. Trying the rest now.

Thank you again! I'll post again if I have any issues.

RE: Micollab 9.1 - Error Removing a user

All you really need to do is change/remove the DN for the key you had to delete from the Call Rerouting line. You can't have a number there that doesn't actually exist, and you can't delete a number referenced here without first changing/removing the referenced DN. The MiVB doesn't like having programming fields pointing to things that don't exist, and will make you remove references to something before you can delete it.

makes sense. Thanks for the info. I was able to remove all 5 errors using your instructions. Thank you!
