How to build phone using a CDP'd number

How to build phone using a CDP'd number

How to build phone using a CDP'd number

(OP)
I'm very new to this...
I'm trying to build a new phone using a CDP'd DN and keep getting the SCH0375 error.
I just need to know how to build a 3904 using the CDP'd DN.
Please help lol

RE: How to build phone using a CDP'd number

You need to remove the CDP entry first.
Are you doing this via a command line interface?

Hi! Thank you for responding! Yes it's via a command line interface.
There is a department using this CDP'd DN as their main line.
They want me to add another phone with this DN and it's many rollovers.

So I would go to ld 87 and remove the cdp?
Then go into ld 20 to build the phone and then add the cdp back in ld 87?

I don't want to screw this whole department up LOL

RE: How to build phone using a CDP'd number

No worries.

Yes, it's LD 87. If I was you, then I would print out the CDP details first. It will be something like..

REQ. PRT
TYPE CDP
CUST 0
CDP xxxx. (Number to be checked)

It should print out the CDP details.

Then do ..

REQ. OUT
TYPE CDP
CUST 0
CDP xxxx

I haven't touched CS1000 for many years,so some of the prompts might be wrong. I think you might need need to specify the CDP type such as TSC or DSC etc.

Once the CDP number has been removed, go to LD 10, 11 or 20 to add in a phone or make a change to a set etc.

LD 20
REQ: NEW
TYPE xxxx (e.g 3904 etc)
CUST 0

And carry on with the set, or you can use the "CPY" command instead of "NEW" to copy from an existing phone.

RE: How to build phone using a CDP'd number

When you state that the CDP DN is the main line and it has many roll overs and you want to add a new extension to this group are you sure you want to be deleting the CDP entry? Or figuring out what the CDP entry points to (Hunt Group, chain of forwarded sets etc.)
