I recently had and R3 module get a squealing noise on all lines and ext on that card. I replaced it with an R6 and reprogramed the system and all phones. All is working as expected. However I have noticed that when the Auto Attendant answers an incoming line it busies out the next line in the pool to answer the call. Once the Attendant hands the call off to VM or an ext. it releases the 2nd line that it opened. I do not recall if this happened with the previous R3 card so I am wondering if this is normal behavior or do I have a programming issue? tyvmia

RE: Partner ACS 6 AA busies out next line in pool when answering calls

What is the voicemail module that you are using, double check that the VM ports are assigned to Hunt Group 7. If a VM port is NOT assigned there, it will grab the incoming call at the same time the assigned port(s) do. Put DSS/BLF buttons on a phone for the VM ports and observe which are answering the calls, and if they are cycling through the group

Thank you - yes that was it I didn't have all of the VM ports assigned to the Hunt Group.
