NTRB21 TMDI Card Questions

NTRB21 TMDI Card Questions

(OP)
I have some questions about using an NTRB21 TMDI card please.

CS1000 at 7.6
In an MG1010 Cabinet

1. Can I use slot 5 for the NTRB21 TMDI card?
2. Would this card allow a TIE connection to an AudioCodes Mediant 1000 gateway?

I created a new digital loop in LD 17 as loop 25

The 25 pair Amphenol cable from the back of the MG1010 cabinet is terminating on a 24 pair patch panel. From there I believe I need to use ports 23 and 24 on the patch panel to connect to the AudioCodes Mediant gateway.

I tried to enable the TMDI in LD96 but received an MSDL028 error

MSDL0028
Cannot enable the card because it is not present in the system.
If the card in question is believed to be present, check if the switch
settings on the card agree with the device number entered in this
command.
Severity: Minor

I guess if I can't use slot 5 that is why I can't enable it?

Thanks.

RE: NTRB21 TMDI Card Questions

You can have it in slot 5, from your description above I didn't see the bit where you said "I created the DCH in LD 17", so I guess in LD 96 if you STAT TMDI there isn't one?

RE: NTRB21 TMDI Card Questions

(OP)
Yes, creating a DCH would certainly help! I created one:
ADAN DCH 18
CTYP TMDI
MG_CARD 000 0 05

DES SOLACOMTIE
USR PRI
DCHL 25

When I try to enable the DCH in LD96 I receive
DCH0042
MSDL card has to be in operational state

When I try to ENL TMDI in LD96, it comes back with MSDL028 which tells me the card is not present in the system. I have reseated the card. Are there any DIP switches on the card I should check?

UPDATE- just reseated it again and it now came up :)
