Music On Hold & Caller ID Help/Question

Music On Hold & Caller ID Help/Question

(OP)
Hello everyone! I have another couple questions about my NEC SV8100 PBX phone system that I am hoping to get some help or information on. I would like to use my MOOD Media ProFusion IS 2010 mucic player for music on hold. I have a RCA audio jack plugged into the back of the ProFusion IS and then connected to the front of the SV8100 BGM/MOH jack. When I try to program all the MOH settings to what I think are the correct settings, I just have dead air on my cell phone when I place my NEC phone system on hold. I am also wondering if I can get some tips on how to program caller ID for my incoming trunk lines? I was wondering if someone can explain to me how to program these settings correctly and what settings I need to config in order to make the external MOH source work from the ProFusion music player and to have caller ID so that it does not just say "Line 1 ringing"? I apologize about the lack of knowledge on this type of phone system as it is very new to me. Thanks so much in advance!

RE: Music On Hold & Caller ID Help/Question

I am guessing that you have analog trunks? If so, for Caller ID, check box 14-02-10 for each trunk and then enable it for each class of service in 20-09-02.

For MOH, set 10-04-01 to External, confirm which jack is music input in 10-21-04, make sure 10-38-01 is set to CPU IN and then in 14-08-01 set your audio source to Internal/External MOH.

If the music still doesn't work, you can assign it to the other audio jack in 10-21-04 by making CN9 the BGM input instead of paging output. Then in 14-08-01, set the audio source to BGM Source.
