Hello, newby here but amateur PSP user for decades

See pic

So dead easy, take an image - a photo, rotate it, select the outside area, invert selection and I should have the photo at an angle perfectly framed.
But today magic want has decided to give me rough edges so you see a jagged white border around the photo.

Feather zero. Tolerance zero. the original is appx 500px high.
Tried on several images, same thing
PSP7.02

Any ideas please?

RE: selection tool (magic wand) has decided to select rough edges

I currently use PSP 8 in Windows 10 and this type of thing happens to me now and again, I previously used Windows XP which always worked fine.
So now I usually reload PSP and all is okay. What platform are you running in?

Thanks for replying

I rebooted the whole machine, no joy, then did something (don't know what) and it was OK, and then did something else and it was bad again.

When I'm not pressed I'll try to follow the exact circumstances
