Version Compatibility Crystal 7 to 8

Version Compatibility Crystal 7 to 8

(OP)
Hi! Im using VB6 and Crystal report 7 right now but im planning to buy crystal report 8 will there be any compatibility problem with my VB applications if I migrate old CR7 report to the new CR8?

Thanks in advance!

RE: Version Compatibility Crystal 7 to 8

There shouldn't be anything major, as long as:

1) You stay with the same VB integration method.
2) The application is recompiled with the new V8 DLL's (components and references).

If you switch integration methods, the code will need to be revised.
