(OP)

Seems to involve the data report control as it doesn't load correctly in the installed software. I've put in msgbox in the initialise of the data environment. As long as the msgbox doen't reference a value of the environment it will show, else a runtime message appears stating invalid data source. i've matched both development and runtime environments so that the datasource would be the same.

When installing a VB6 application, the dll
c:\program files\commonfiles\system\ole db\msdadc.dll
is unable to load to register. There is a fault calling
DLLregisterServer. It seems to be connected to the
use of the new object Data report and Data designer.
I'ved tried on a couple of fresh machines and have
even built the OS from scratch to see if there was a
problem. It seems like there is a bug or routine I'm
not following to install these other areas of VB6
unto an installation. I follow the deployment wizard
and it provides a routine without complaining.

This is the first attempts at installing a VB6 app with the
deployment wizard. Is there a bug or a work around anyone knows?

CAN ANYONE SHED SOME LIGHT ON THIS PROBLEM, AS IT
MEANS ANY DISTRIBUTED APPLICATIONS HAVE NO COMPLETE
INSTALL TO ALLOW RUNTIME DISTRIBUTION. THAT'S A BIT
TRICKY

Many Thanks
