Problem updating firmware on ERS 4524GT-PWR

Problem updating firmware on ERS 4524GT-PWR

(OP)
Greetings:

I had an old ERS4524GT-PWR which we plan to exhume from stasis as it supports IP routing. One thing I did discover was the firmware was at 5.3.0.3 and the software at 5.3.1.0. Attempts to update firmware failed and the message reads, "Software download not supported on this stack configuration" although the stack switch is set at 'base' as we do not have a cluster. Software was successful at updating and we are at 5.7.3.0. Searching for suggestions does not seem to lead in positive directions. Any ideas?

Thanks

I did find the 'combodiag' and was successful to install but the firmware never changes from 5.3.0.3. It's probably due to the low hardware release of 2.

RE: Problem updating firmware on ERS 4524GT-PWR

I think 5.3.0.3 was the last release supported, it's been a few years since I updated my ERSs, and that Fw was a bit dated then. I am running Sw 5.7.3.03i and I think that is also the last release supported on the 4500s. I have a mix of Rev 3,5,6 and 12 and they are all on the same Fw and Sw.
