I have office 2007 installed on my windows 7 64 bit machine. my tools menu allong with menu bar has gone missing from outlook 2007 program. how to restore it back? i cant seem to find the acount setting button without it.

RE: outlook 2007 tools menu missing

I am having trouble, with my aged eyes, figuring out quite what is missing. Is it the bar that starts "File Edit ..."?

Try Alt+V and hover over Toolbars and then select them all and see what pops up.

RE: outlook 2007 tools menu missing

Thanks for the screen grab. I can actually read that.

I used the "Toolbars" tab shown on you picture. Have you tried that?

The "Show standard ..." is also greyed out on my screen.

I sorted out the problem myself by doing some research on windows forum online. we have to go to this folder C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Outlook\ and rename outcmd.dat to outcmd.old while outlook is closed. when we reopen outlook 2007 the menu and tools menu are all back.
