Wake-up Fail alarm, can't cancel it

Wake-up Fail alarm, can't cancel it

Hi everyone,

I've got a hotel customer with an LDK-100 who's reported the Wake-up Fail alarm is constantly ringing through to the main attendant handset and can't be stopped. Right from the start they told me that they had tried to set a wakeup call for a guest and that it didn't work, and since that time (3 days ago) the fail alarm has been ringing through, so they've obviously done something wrong but I don't know what. I have already tried the following things:

Asked them if any keys illuminate on their DSS unit when the wakeup fail alarm comes through - they say that no keys are lighting up.
Talked them through Trans 0 4 3 followed by station range - it gave confirmation tone but didn't work.
Answering the ringing alarm call - said something like "Calling too late", and made no difference.
Dialling the extension number for the room they think they set the wakeup for - the guest in the room answered their call but after hanging up the alarm continued.
Talked them through 5 6 5 Cancel code - got confirmation of Alarm Cancel but didn't work.
I've set the "Wake-Up Fail Ring Timer" from 20 seconds to 99 seconds (which I believe means never alarm) under system programming 182 but that hasn't stopped it.

The only other thing I can think of is giving it a reset by software or even a full reboot. Is there anything else I can try or anything I may have missed? I have remote access to the system via modem.

RE: Wake-up Fail alarm, can't cancel it

Just as a follow-up to this one, it resolved overnight after I'd made the changes mentioned above (presumably it was setting the wake-up fail ring timer to 99 that did it, since 99 means never alarm).
