Need some confirmation on a Networking 101 question...Its been a while...

I need to expand on available copper ports so I am adding a Netgear GS108LP-100NAS switch. I want to uplink from one of the switch ports on the ISP equipment to a port on the Netgear switch - to provide DHCP\Internet connectivity to the new switch connections and a new AP. Will this work without having\using dedicated 'uplink' ports on both connected devices?
