Communications breakdown... AIX

Communications breakdown... AIX

Out of the blue, I've started having a bizarre issue with an AIX box. System will boot normally, but after a few minutes, no communications
are possible (serial or network). You can make a connection (Telnet, FTP, serial), but no data is exchanged.

Currently, the console is displaying the login banner, but I cannot login.

Ran pre-boot diagnostics and everything came back normal. Rebooted the system into single user mode and left it there overnight.
Was still responding this morning. Rebooted into multi user, and within 3 minutes, console locked up.

I'd edit inittab to try & remove any unnecessary services (fax, etc), but I don't seem to have enough time before it craps out.

Any ideas?
