I know this is old and need replacement but I have inherited it an am working to replace it.

That being said...

I need to change when the power source for the 6100 to a newer and better UPS. What I am unsure of is..
  1. Can I just unplug it, is there a shutdown procedure?
  2. Will losing power also lose its config and require setting handsets up from scratch, etc?
In my time with this set up I have not seen it completely lose power.

Thanks for any guidance you can provide.

Jason
