Are Nortel Flash Software Cards Solid State?

Are Nortel Flash Software Cards Solid State?

Are Nortel Flash Software Cards Solid State?

(OP)
Hi everyone.
I'm wondering if the Nortel Norstar Startalk Flash/just Flash software cards are solid state (I'm looking into buying a KSU with a Startalk Flash module, but I don't want to buy it if it's a hard drive or something non-solid state.)
Thanks!

RE: Are Nortel Flash Software Cards Solid State?

Software's are PCMCIA cards, they are for KSU, Startalk Mini, Startalk Flash and Callpilot 1XX.

Startalk - uses Hard Drives
Startalk Mini - uses Hard Drives
Norstar Applications Module (NAM) - uses Hard Drives/some SSD drives
Startalk Flash - uses built in Flash Memory
Callpilot - uses built in Flash Memory

BCM's use hard drives/SSD drives

If you insist on Norstar over BCM then you should get MICS/CICS 7.1 and Callpilot 100/150 3.1 software's.

But if you want away more options then BCM is your best bet.

Ok, thanks for your reply.
I may be a noob for not knowing this, but I can't find anywhere online if Flash memory means that it is solid state.
Thanks

RE: Are Nortel Flash Software Cards Solid State?
