Eating Our Own Dog Food

(OP)
I'm sure you've heard the term "Eating Our Own Dog Food", meaning, using our own product. I just heard a variation I like MUCH better.

Drinking our own Champagne

Much better!

RE: Eating Our Own Dog Food

I've heard, "Sleeping in our own bed." I'm trying to figure our why you would want to sleep in someone else's bed unless you're Goldilocks. Yours is much better. The champagne part, not the dog food part.

RE: Eating Our Own Dog Food

With some companies I've worked for, "Digging our own grave" and/or "Cutting our own throat" would be pretty appropriate.
