Low volume with MoH on a BCM50

Low volume with MoH on a BCM50

Low volume with MoH on a BCM50

Hello all
I have a client that has a BCM50 with one expansion cabinet in the solution. They have a message on hold solution but when the IVR puts a call on hold the caller can barely hear the message if at all. I have traced the 'moh' from the bix field to the BCM and I get great volume and signal right up to either the amphanol cable (binding post 13) or by using the 3.5 mm jack for music.
I have checked programming and I have "On Hold" set to Music, I have background music set to "N". Do I need background music as well? If not, why is it that a caller cant hear the message/advertisement when on hold?
Any suggestion are greatly appreciated.
Best Regards

RE: Low volume with MoH on a BCM50

BGM set to No is fine

To be clear the BCM50 does not have an IVR
Is this a drug store that has an IVR linked to the BCM? or did you mean BCM's Auto Attendant?
BCM's Auto Attendant does not put calls on Hold, maybe you need to install the music to the IVR unit.

Is the wire/jack on the 600 Ohm output connector of the MOH device? (or switch set to 600 Ohms)

Also test with a toner... call in, answer call and put on hold.

"amphenol cable (binding post 13) or by using the 3.5 mm jack for music"
Use one or the other, do not loop.

RE: Low volume with MoH on a BCM50

Hi Curly
This is a drug store and they have an independent service provider for the IVR. The IVR answers the call and then puts the call on hold.
I will check the output configuration and advise.
