Sidekick Delayed Opening

(OP)
I loaded Sidekick 98 and the Sidekick patch on an HP 290 G3 Core i7-7700 8GB 256GB SSD Windows 10 Pro Desktop. However the program took more than two minutes to open. I believe this has been noted before and attributed to conflict with Chrome or Skype. Once opened it could be closed and opened again without the delay. However each time the computer was closed down and booted up the problem re-appeared. I solved it by turning off all the apps in the start menu. By turning on each one separately I found the culprit was HP Notifications. Anyone with an HP computer and HP Notifications in the start menu my find that Sidekick 98 opens more quickly with this app turned off.
