Dear expert,

New IPO500v2 setup with factory reset linksys poe switch. The 1608 could not register to Ipo500v2.

Did I miss any setting in Linksys poe switch?

not a lot to go on but.. Did you run monitor to get a trace of it trying to register? Does it see the IP Office and try to register? Does it get DHCP and what is giving it an address? Do you see it trying to register to the IP Office?
Mike

DHCP config working properly?
Option 242 enabled on DHCP server or DHCP enabled on correct LAN on IPO?

do you get a prompt to enter extension number?

The IP Phone does get the ip address, subnet form IPO500 and these message from monitor,

The Ip Phone did not reach to enter extension after the reboot.

I tried to use the static IP address for the IP Phone, but still don't register in IPO 500

Just count dhcp 1 sec. 2 sec. and turn to press * to program in display after boot up.

What release of IP Office and What type of 1608 is it? the 1608 or 1608-I.

Ipo500v2 R11 and 1608i

I used the dhcp from IPO 500 LAN1
The ip range is for 20 ip phones.

I checked the ip pbone got the ip address and netmask from ipo500 but just can get filess to upgrade it.

Actually the ip phone waited for 2 sec. to get the ip address but didn't why it re-started again to wait for dhcp. This action repeated again and again.

Is this a new 1608 phone? possible that your DHCP scope is incorrect as well.

Sounds like the phone gets DHCP information (VLAN INFO most likely) on the native VLAN and restarts on the voice VLAN that doesn't supply addressing or option 242.

It wasn't look like the dhcp's problem since I tried both dhcp and fix ip and get the same results.

yes, they are new IP Phones from supplier.

Hi Westi,

We did the factory reset in the POE switch and there was not VLAN in it.

Have you tried programming the phone manually? That will help point to the failure if it works. If it doesn't then your problem is more network or possably programming problems in the IPO. Also turn H323 events and signaling on in your monitor trace to see the handshake between the phone and the IPO.
