Can someone direct me to some documentation on Mean Time Between Failure data on the HP 5406zl2 switch. Even if you have any third party data it would help. Thank you.

RE: Can someone direct me to some docum

I don't have a document, but I can tell: it's good stuffsmile

We have 8000 ports or so, on a few dozen 5406 and 5412, and they just don't quit working.
Very good quality and lifetime warranty.
Just perfect.

A reboot and firmware upgrade (if you want) only every 2 years or so, is enough to keep them running smoothly.

Network equipment normally have a life expectancy / lifespan of 5 years.
Half of our chassis still running and are 10 years old...

(The other half was still working in good order)

The last few years, I think 6 PSUs and 8 24port PoE blades failed.
Because we have 2 / 4 PSUs in each chassis, the users are not affected.
After creating a ticket, in one to two days new hardware arrives.
