Mitel soft button forwarding

Mitel soft button forwarding

Mitel soft button forwarding

(OP)
Our security personnel are having trouble switching forwarding profiles on 5330 phones. Not that it is hard, but they keep messing it up and asking if two of the soft buttons can be programmed to switch forwarding. The two numbers they are forwarding to are the cell phones of the supervisors, so they are external. Is there a way to put Call Forward profile buttons on the main screen? The only method I have found so far still requires then to go into the profiles, change profile, then trigger it. They want so they can press a button that switches forwarding without having to go switch profiles. I tested feature codes, but programming a button with **56 as a User Speedcall does not work. Any help would be appreciated.

Looks like I just asked the same question :)

RE: Mitel soft button forwarding

Yup, same question, same answer. Ignore the profiles and simply use the call forward follow me feature access code to set the destination. 1 key per destination, 1 key to cancel.

RE: Mitel soft button forwarding

Create a Key > user speedcall to FAC of 3rd party forwarding
Create another Key > Cancel the FAC

e.g. (FAC for 3rd P forwarding = *44 & Cancel = #44
Extension to forward = 1234

Key 3 >> program SC *44 followed by ext number to forward, i.e *441234
Key 4 >> Program SC to cancel forwarding #441234

Function then is simply press Key 3 to forward , on the screen you will see *441234 simply input in destination number
To cancel, Press key 4
