9504 speaker issue for VM Pro ?

Customer of IP500V2 running 9.1.12. Users with a 9504 have a strange issue where if they attempt to login into their mailbox using the speaker phone, the passwords they enter all receive a "login incorrect" message. However, if we turn on the MUTE button while it's on speaker, the passwords all work fine. Logging in on the handsets work fine as well. It only seems to happen on 9504 phones. The 9508 phones and 1403 phones on this system don't have this issue. Anyone ever hear of this ?

Also turn the volume of the speaker down a little, but the first should fix it.
