Mitel 69xx series handsets with Mobilelink

Mitel 69xx series handsets with Mobilelink

I have recently done a few installs with a client who have a mixture of 6930 and 6940 handsets - they love the Mobilelink feature.

However they have asked if……….. when they are on a mobile call on their Mitel handset, can other users (via DSS/BLF) be notified that they are on a call.

Personally I don't think this is possible, I have checked the Mitel document and cant see anything that would say either it will or it wont.

RE: Mitel 69xx series handsets with Mobilelink

Happy to be corrected for the below:

Mobile Link is just Bluetooth from the physical phone to the mobile, and there's no signalling (MiTai events) back to the Controller.
Because there's no events, the controller does not get notified that there's a call and hence will not broadcast to other peers that the handset is busy or occupied.

Quick test is to call the extension when a Bluetooth call is in progress, the Controller will attempt to send the call and user will be notified.

RE: Mitel 69xx series handsets with Mobilelink

Valamagules is correct. If the called number is the mobile number and the user answers the call via BT on his desk phone, the call is still "outside the PBX". No DSS or anything.
From the 3300's perspective, there's no call on the IP set extension.
