(OP)
hello all smile

as of the moment, my office PC has IP 192.168.1.71

and i create a sub-folder which was shared to Everyone sunshine

i'm just wondering how can the said folder be access in the network, like from PC with IP 172.16.1.250

by the way, my PC is connected to Asus RT-N14UHP Wireless-N High Power Amplifier

the scenario was, since our office cubicle has only 1 I/O Ethernet port and we have multiple computers (personal cellphones too lol) so we got this Asus device directly connected to the lone I/O then the rest PCs, as well, cellphones are connected to it.

our network was set to be in 172.16.xxx.xxx while the Asus device was set 192.168.xxx.xxx or we didn't extend our 172.16.xxx.xxx to it because it will create it's own Dynamic IP addresses which will then overlap the network IP addresses under 172.16.xxx.xxx pc3

hoping for a help bowleft

Turn off DNS on the WAP and set it to the 192 addresses.
